My Journey All Through My Stay at VataVriksh Parent Care

The Beginning of My Stay

My stay at VataVriksh commenced on 29th May 2025 and is continuing till the current moment. My journey until now has been extremely exhilarating, replete with memories. I on my part prefer to relive the pleasant ones, because I would like to spend my time there.

A Home Filled with Love, Faith, and Togetherness

VataVriksh Parent Care is a wonderful organisation with magnificent scope for celebrating the inner worlds of both the young and the old alike. Both generations rejoice in each other’s company, and it gives me immense pleasure to be part of such jubilations. It is like a home where love and faith reside in abundance and all residents and members of the staff share each others’ woes and joys very lovingly.

Warm Relationships with Staff and Residents

All the staff and residents are of an extremely amicable nature, and I have a good rapport with each one of them. I am glad that my attendant, Savita is so warm and friendly towards me that I really consider, it is a God-sent blessing in disguise that I came in contact with her. She remains neat and clean and serves me sweetly with love so much so that I intend to engage her as long as I stay in this institution.

Learning the Importance of Physical Wellbeing

Both my daily extra co-curricular activities, namely, yoga, and physiotherapy have taught me that exercises are also a mandatory part of our daily life as our breakfast, lunch and dinner. As the saying goes “Once you are exercising regularly, the hardest thing is to stop it.” – Erin Gray

These two activities have been taught to me by revered Jayanti (yoga trainer) and Dr Soumya (physiotherapist), both being profusely talented in their respective fields and do full justice to their profession by being extremely dedicated towards the same.

Dr Soumya insists that I should be serious about all my ailments like Parkinson’s, knee pain, and of course my neck, which is slightly bent forward. Dr Soumya is diligently bent upon improving the condition of my neck and the strenuous exercises that she makes me do for the same are not short of any complaint in the slightest degree and my physiotherapist gets full marks for the effort, she is putting in this direction.

Encouragement of Talent and Confidence Building

At VataVriksh there are lots of co-curricular activities too so that their residents can display their inner talent and rise to the fore with full aplomb and confidence. In this particular field, we get a lot of encouragement from another important member of the staff, Khushboo, who is a big shot in whatever she is entrusted to do and does full justice to it by putting her heart and soul into her job.

She even distributes prizes to the outstanding participants to enliven their spirit and continue with their marvellous initiative in this particular field, and of course rise further to the occasion.

Celebrating Festivals with Spiritual Depth

Still, another mandatory aspect for which VataVriksh Parent Care deserves special mention is the unique and extremely impressive manner in which important festivals like Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Holi, and many more are celebrated. Full attention is given to all residents so that they attend all these religious festivities, which further leads to spiritual enhancement and productivity.

I for my part simply adore all these spiritual functions and look forward to being an important part and parcel all of these godly rituals and practiscs.

Sunita, another very charming member of the staff who is a trustworthy friend and companion is an efficient organiser of all such programmes. In this direction, she gets full marks for her warmth and hospitality towards all guests as well as the inmates whose hearts she has already won and will continue to do so. Her contribution towards all sanctimonious festivities is remarkable.

VataVriksh – My Temple and Second Home

Once upon a time during my stay in VataVriksh itself, I had referred to this sublime institution as my temple in one of the assignments given by Khushboo. She was impressed beyond measure, and I firmly assured her that I really meant it.

I honestly feel that it’s my second home and intend to raise it to the height of fame and glory for all the peace and physical comfort, I have received after being here for a good six months length of time.

My Daily Prayer Before Meditation

My prayer before meditation (my daily morning practice before commencing all my task for the day):

“I need you God to make my life sacred;
I need you God to be a nice person in your holy eyes,
God, please make me pure of thought, word and deed.
Thank you, God for all that you have given me,
I Earnestly need You God to make my life sacred.”

Conclusion – A Heartfelt Prayer and Hope

I conclude –

I hope from the core of my heart that God extends my stay in VataVriksh as much as possible, and I establish a stronger rapport with all those I love and hold in high esteem. Of course, boundaries to emotions and spiritual values are limitless, but nevertheless there being an exception to every rule, I will certainly surpass all such restrictions and fulfil all the expectations of my heart and soul further as long as the Almighty permits.

May God continue to make my life sacred and this magnificent home that God has given me to inhabit, which is not a sheet framework of bricks and stones, but a lighthouse temple where love and faith reside like fragrance in a rose.
